Background
Mallius
Vane was born in a small settlement on the edge of southern Fangwood.
These hardy settlers, tough men and women skilled with the bow, eked
out a living through small-hold farming and hunting.
In
recent years, many of the settlers have left the settlement to join
the militias down south fighting against Molthune. As soon as Mallius
was old enough, he too made his way to the southern border and joined
the fight. He quickly learnt the ways of a soldier, showing
particular skill as a skirmisher and archer. Mallius spent a couple
of years successfully fighting this guerilla war against the regular
soldiers of Molthune until a recent run-in with a new kind of enemy.
Unusually, Mallius' band of skirmishers was caught unawares by a
vicious enemy force who showed no mercy, butchering the Nirmathi
militia men and brutally executing any survivors. Few escaped.
Mallius,
badly wounded, barely escaped with his life. Sent to Phaendar to
recover, he is still haunted by what happened that day at the hands
of this brutal enemy...an enemy calling themselves the Ironfang
Legion!
